Engage in the study of politics and governance, designed to help you embark on a career to help change the world. Political science is the study of government, public policy, and the political behavior of individuals and groups. The Minor in Political Science introduces students to the foundational theories, processes, principles, and institutions of political science, with the option to explore coursework concentrations in international affairs, American politics, public policy, and law. Students cultivate communication skills and analytical abilities in the classroom, and are encouraged to pursue opportunities outside of the classroom, such as internships at government agencies at the local and federal level, think tanks, political campaigns, and nonprofit organizations.
