Course Description

Anthropology 472/572 is an advanced undergraduate and graduate course on zooarchaeology and taphonomy. No prior training is needed for entering this course. This course involves a combination of hands-on study of animal skeletons to familiarize students with the methods through which zooarchaeological data are generated; as well as readings and analytical homework activities intended to enable students to experience the process of getting from faunal data to research results.
