Course Description

This course will provide an introduction to the past, present, and future of urban and regional planning. The main focus of the course is on developing an understanding of the complex issues associated with urbanization and exploring the ways in which planning principles and tools can be applied to address these issues. We will explore critical issues facing cities and regions, such as urban development patterns, the environment and climate change, economic growth and disparities, and social and racial justice.
