Course Description
The Cardiovascular-Hematology Course is designed to provide instruction in the basic and clinical sciences required for examination and treatment of disorders of the Hematology and Cardiovascular Systems. This course will provide a comprehensive and in depth study of these sciences including non-oncologic hematology, cardiovascular electrophysiology and cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac function, peripheral vascular disease, cardiovascular risk factors including lipid physiology and pathophysiology, valvular and coronary artery heart disease and blood pressure control. In addition to the above topics, aspects of pharmacology, imaging, public health, psychosocial aspects of illness, ethics, and health care transformations will be presented.
