PSY422 - Introduction to Brain Connectivity
Course Description
There is growing interest in studying how connections between brain regions relate to behavior and disease. This course is designed for students who are interested in brain connectivity and its applications to psychological research and clinical populations. Through lectures, textbook / journal article readings, discussions and presentations, this course will provide a comprehensive introduction to brain connectivity research, including principles of magnetic resonance imaging, study design, data analysis, applications, and future directions. Students will learn about function and dysfunction of brain networks in different populations and how network-based approaches can be used to investigate human behavior. Grades are based on (open-book/article) mini quizzes, leading class discussion, participation in class discussions, literature review, and final presentation.
