Course Description

This course offers training in the methods used to assess population health. In addition to learning how to create a testable research question, we will learn how to create surveys/questionnaires, and the ethics of working with human subjects, including the importance of protecting vulnerable communities. We will examine methods to assess community well-being with child growth, nutritional status, and stress-health relationships. This course will be of interest to students who plan to work in Biological or Medical Anthropology, global health, community development, or community nutritional status.
