TLS100 - Navigating the Research University

Tch, Lrn & Sociocultural Stdy Undergraduate UA - UA General

Course Description

Navigating the Research University is a course focused on successfully navigating and thriving as an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona. When college students thrive, they are 'fully engaged intellectually, socially, and emotionally in the college experience' (Schreiner, 2010a, p. 4). The curriculum of this course is built upon 5 dimensions of the college experience most predictive of academic success and satisfaction in college: social connectedness, engaged learning, academic determination, positive perspective, and diverse citizenship (Schreiner, 2013).
