Course Description
What role do humans, animals, and the environment play in the emergence of pandemics? How can considering the interconnections between humans, animals, and the environment promote more meaningful health prevention outcomes? These are some of the questions we will examine through the lens of a One Health perspective. In this course, we will be exploring the central concepts of One Health and investigating the interactions among animals and humans, animals and the environment, and humans and the environment. We will be taking on the role of a Public Health professional who analyzes scientific data, interprets scientific findings, and thinks scientifically to address current issues through this integrative One Health perspective.
