Course Description

MCB 103B is a three-unit course for high school students in association high school JTED/CTE bioscience course sequence. Students will conduct a research internship in a UA laboratory under the supervision of STAR Lab coordinators and research mentors. This course offers a unique opportunity for motivated high school students who possess a strong interest in pursuing advanced education in bioscience and biomedical science, to conduct independent research in a UA laboratory. Through laboratory activities and field-based research, students will conduct independent research under the guidance of a UA mentor and communicate their research findings with the public at the Southern Arizona Research Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) Science Fair.
