Course Description
The goal of this course is to provide undergraduate and graduate students in the biomedical space and related disciplines with the insight, mindset and practical experience needed to advance in research, technology development and stewardship as they enter careers in the real world. The course has both didactic and practical components. Students will learn aspects of research paper analysis, critical thinking, hypothesis development, data analysis, presentation skills, and writing skills for research papers and other publications. Students will identify a topic and practice these skills in an independent research project. The class will also participate in a group research project that will be developed cooperatively and will submit their collective paper for publication.
