Course Description

Earth Grant is a leadership training and paid internship program for undergraduate students with diverse identities, perspectives, and professional goals, who share a passion for advancing environmental and community resilience. This two-credit course comprises the fall semester leadership training component of the program, and is separate from the internship. Prerequisites for this course are being accepted to the Earth Grant program and being matched with an Earth Grant internship. In this course, students identify specific resilience issues of interest, practice effective storytelling techniques to communicate ideas, motivate action, and showcase professional expertise, develop an authentic professional identity, learn and apply strategic relationship building skills, and explore careers related to issues of interest.
