Course Description

The elective options allow students to develop skills and knowledge in areas of interest and in which they might subsequently wish to pursue clinical specialization. These three-week modules, students select four, will be opportunities for comprehensive education with skilled specialists and development of the necessary scientific basis and clinical and personal skills for the settings. Students may have the opportunity to participate in one of these more specialized settings for their final terminal clinical experience. Working with the performing artist is a unique opportunity and requires specialized skills in evaluation, intervention, and psychosocial issues. In this module the student will work with performers to develop their skills in prevention and rehabilitation of performance related injuries understanding the multi-disciplinary approach and the demands of the performing artist on their body.
