Course Description
Designed to inform students about professional development planning to accommodate students at different levels of professional development readiness. Professional Development involves more than just choosing and entering industry, continuing education, or research pathway. It also includes a self-assessment of values, interests, and skills; an understanding of the steps in the professional development decision-making process; and learning the necessary transferrable skills to succeed in industry, research, or academia. In this class, students will develop a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn page, complete an informational interview with an individual in their industry of interest, practice interview techniques and more.
