Course Description
Clinical evaluation is primarily a problem-solving process. Therefore, the form of this class is problem-based learning in which students are assigned to small working groups. The groups are presented with a problem and are expected to gather relevant information that informs the problem, and come up with a resolution to the problem, which will be discussed in class. This is the same problem-solving process that you will use as a professional when confronted with new issues and to maintain currency with changes in practice that occur over time Therefore, this semester will provide essential information on evaluation, but also give you the experience in developing these skills that you will employ for the rest of your career.
