Course Description

This course offers a comprehensive study of play therapy, emphasizing advanced therapeutic techniques, theoretical frameworks, and practical applications for working with children, adolescents, and families. Building upon foundational knowledge, students will delve into the nuances of clinical play therapy, including trauma-informed interventions, attachment-based practices, and the integration of diverse cultural perspectives. The course will explore a variety of therapeutic modalities such as sand tray therapy, art therapy, and directive vs. non-directive play techniques, equipping students with the skills to tailor interventions to the unique needs of each client.
