Program Description
The doctoral program in Aerospace Engineering is for students interested in developing leading-edge technology for industries ranging from space exploration to biomedical devices. The program - which enjoys connections to Raytheon Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Honeywell International, NASA and more - follows a research-intensive curriculum along three paths: a Bachelor of Science to Ph.D.; a University of Arizona Accelerated Master's Program to Ph.D.; or a non-University of Arizona Accelerated Master's Program to Ph.D. Research topics include aeronautical engineering, aerodynamics, fluid dynamics and space technology, and courses include Spacecraft Optimal Estimation, Mechanics of Deformable Solids, Advanced Thermodynamics and Finite Element Methods.
