The Graduate Certificate in Aquaculture requires completion of a minimum of 12 units of graduate credit. Certificate units may also be applied to degree programs; and up to six units of transfer credit may be used.
Required course work (9 units):
ACBS 556 (3) Aquaculture
ENVS 575 (4) Freshwater and Marine Algae
ENVS 900 (2) Research (Aquaculture)–Internship
Completion of 3 units is required, selected from the following courses:
ACBS 565 (3) Shrimp Pathology
ECOL 582 (3) Ichthyology
ENVS 574 (4) Aquatic Plants and the Environment
ENVS 525 (3) Environmental Microbiology
Or other approved elective
All students must submit a formal application to the UA Graduate College to be considered for admission to the ENVS Graduate Certificate in Aquaculture.
Applications are submitted on-line via The University of Arizona Graduate College’s admissions portal, UA GradApp.
UA students should use their UA email account and NetID when registering a new account.
