Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107
- Writing 102 instead of Writing 108

Biosystems Engineering Advanced Courses
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 3 units.
Earn at least 3 credits from the following:

Complete 10 units.
Earn at least 10 credits from the following:

Complete 1 unit. Students may elect to complete 1 to 6 units with BE Faculty Mentor and BE Major Advisor approval. The 1 unit internship requirement should be completed prior to enrolling in the BE 496A course.

To satisfy the Engineering Capstone Design requirement, Biosystems Engineering majors are required to complete 3 units of ENGR 498A and 3 units of ENGR 498B. BE Majors must receive approval from the BE Academic Advisor prior to enrollment in the Engineering Capstone Design requirement.
Earn at least 6 credits from the following:

Complete 9 units. Students will not be able to double dip with courses between the major. BE Design Electives should be chosen in consultation with an advisor.

Biosystems Engineering Technical Electives
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 9 units. Students will not be able to double dip with courses between the major. BE Technical Electives should be chosen in consultation with an advisor.
Earn at least 9 credits from the following:
Biosystems Engineering Major Graduation Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 64 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 33 upper division units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
A minor is optional for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
BSBE in Biosystems Engineering. In order to take Advanced Courses in this major, a student must
achieve Advanced Standing. This requires a GPA of 2.00 in the Foundation Coursework.
