Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107

Chemical Engineering Technical Electives
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 6 units. Unit count may change if you take a General Education Building Connections course which fulfills this section, consult with your advisor. May take 300/400 level courses in any Math, Engineering, or Science course in consultation with your advisor.

Only 3 units of Independent study, preceptor or internship (391, 491, 392, 492, 393, 493, 399, or 499) may be used for an elective and as a part of the entire plan.
Earn at least 6 credits from the following:

Complete 9 units. Only 3 units of Independent study or preceptor (399, 499, 391, or 491) may be used for engineering elective and as a part of the entire plan.

Chemical Engineering Major Graduation Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 65 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 52 units of upper-division major coursework must be completed.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the pre-major, supporting coursework, professional core, and/or major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
A minor is optional for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
BSCHE in Chemical Engineering. In order to take Advanced Courses in this major, a student must achieve Advanced Standing. This requires a GPA of 2.30 in the Foundation Coursework.
