Program Description
The Ph.D. pathway in Clinical Translational Sciences will train you to become a skilled researcher who can successfully address both the clinical and basic science aspects of translational research. The program attracts clinicians and researchers wanting to explore how basic science can inform clinical practice, or how basic science can explain observations from clinical treatment. With guidance from a faculty mentor - who also advises on the dissertation research project - you will be encouraged to customize your coursework in a specific area of health sciences research. Options include immunology, neuroscience, cardiology, pharmacology, oncology, and cellular and molecular medicine.
