The Communication minor requires all students to complete COMM 101, 9 units of COMM Skills courses and 6 units of COMM Elective courses. 18 units are required for the minor, 9 of which must be upper division. A 2.0 GPA is required in the minor. COMM/GEOG/PA/POL/SBS/SOC 200 does NOT count towards the 18 units required in the Communication minor. A maximum of 3 internship units may be applied towards the Communication minor.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:

Complete at least 1 of the following

Complete 3 courses. A maximum of 3 units of COMM 393 and 3 units of COMM 493 may be used towards the 9 units required in COMM Skills. If an internship is taken towards the 9 units required in COMM Skills, then the internship must be taken for 3 units.
Complete at least 3 of the following
Courses:

Complete 6 units of COMM Electives. When selecting COMM Electives, consider that 9 upper division units are required in the minor. Some COMM courses are restricted to Communication majors only and are not open for enrollment by Communication minors. Consult your Communication Academic Advisor for enrollment options. Consult your Communication Academic Advisor for possible application of transfer units.

Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 18 units are required in the minor.
AND
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor coursework.
AND
A minimum of 3 units in the minor must be taken at the University of Arizona.
AND
A minimum of 9 upper division COMM units are required in the minor.
Minor in Communication
Some COMM courses are restricted to Communication majors and are NOT open to Communication minors. Consult your Communication Academic Advisor regarding enrollment in summer or winter session courses. Communication minors are not permitted to enroll in COMM 228 or COMM 300.
