As a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, you'll examine biological diversity at all levels - at the first academic department of its kind in the world. Your academic plan could feature areas of focus like evolutionary history and mechanisms; community structure; ecological interactions; and behavior, development and mathematical biology. Strengths of the program include a renowned faculty, a seminar series that draws top leaders in the field, and extensive collaboration between students and faculty. Additionally, most doctoral students receive external funding for their research and have been notably successful securing postdoctoral research positions and faculty appointments.
