To meet the Graduate College residence requirement, the student must complete a minimum of 30 credits of graduate credit in residence at the University of Arizona. These requirements may be met in part by coursework completed during the Master’s degree. All requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must be completed within 5 years of passing the Comprehensive Exam.
Students must choose a supporting minor subject with at least 9 credits of coursework. If a student chooses two supporting minor subjects, or a split minor, each minor must have at least six credits of coursework. Requirements for the minor are established by the minor department.
