Doctor of Philosophy

The Ph.D. in Government and Public Policy is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to teach and conduct research at academic institutions, or for careers in the public and private sectors. While studying under renowned faculty who have a broad array of research interests and specialties, you'll develop your own expertise in one of four subfields: American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, or Public Administration and Policy. You'll have access to School of Government & Public Policy research centers and initiatives, travel and research funding opportunities, and a competitive stipend and benefits package through assistantships, fellowships and teaching opportunities.
