Language requirements: Students are encouraged to complete a minimum of one year of Modern Hebrew taken at the undergraduate level or Aramaic taken at the graduate level.
Although Hebrew is the preferred language, additional language options that may be considered could include those spoken by significant historical Jewish communities as well as major scholarly languages in Jewish Studies: Arabic, Farsi, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
