Overview

Program Requirements

Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107
- Writing 102 instead of Writing 108
Complete at least 1 of the following :
Complete 2 courses.

Complete at least 2 of the following Courses:

Your major may have more specific math requirements. Please consult your major advisor to ensure you enroll in the math courses best suited to your plan of study.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 1 course. Please review your major requirements or consult your advisor before enrolling in a Foundations Mathematics course.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:
AND
Credit will not be given for a course at an equivalent or lower level than prior language credit earned.
Course must be taken for a grade, not for pass/fail.
Demonstrate fourth semester proficiency in a second language by completing one of the following:
1. Complete a Fourth Semester Language Course with a grade of C or higher.
2. Complete Arabic 401 and 1 course with a grade of C of higher from Arabic 424B, 427B or 430B.
3. Pass a language proficiency examination at the fourth semester level
Complete at least 1 of the following :
Complete 1 course with a grade of C or better.

Not from: FREN 325, 373, 375, 393, 399, 399H, 414, 448, 453, HIST 465D, ITAL 330A, 330B, 330C, 330D, 399, 399H, SPAN 397W, 406A, 414, 423A, 423B, 465C, 465D, TTE 414.
Courses used to fulfill this requirement may also be used to fulfill other requirements.
Complete at least 1 courses in the following Course Sets:

Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete ARB 401, Intermediate Arabic, plus one additional course from ARB 424B, 427B, 439B, 484B.
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:

Complete one additional course with a grade of C or better from ARB 424B, 427B, 439B, 484B.
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:

General Education Introduction and Capstone
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Introduces students admitted to the university as First-Year students to General Education, reflecting on learning, and developing an ePortfolio. (1 unit)
Earn at least 1 credits from the following:
AND
Designed to help students reflect upon and make meaning of the General Education experience through the refinement of their ePortfolio. (1 unit)
Earn at least 1 credits from the following:
AND
Choose one course from each category.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 1 course, 3 units total. Transfer students with quarter system credits may satisfy requirement with 1 course and 2.67 units.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:
AND
Complete 1 course, 3 units total. Transfer students with quarter system credits may satisfy requirement with 1 course and 2.67 units.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:
AND
Complete 1 course, 3 units total. Transfer students with quarter system credits may satisfy requirement with 1 course and 2.67 units.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:

Building Connections brings together knowledge and modes of thinking from two or more disciplines and/or perspectives. Choose two courses (6 units minimum).
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 2 courses, 6 units total. Transfer students with quarter system credits may satisfy requirements with 2 courses and 5.34 units.
Earn at least 5.34 credits from the following:
AND
Civic Institutions
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 1 course, 3 units total. Transfer students with quarter system credits may satisfy requirement with 1 course and 2.67 units.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Computer Science requirements.
Complete at least 1 of the following :
Complete 1 course. One of the following courses is recommended for most students: CSC 110, ISTA 130, ECE 101, or CHEE 205; other options may require additional prerequisites and/or a major or minor declared in another subject.

Courses used to fulfill this requirement may be used to fulfill other requirements.
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Calculus I and Core Courses.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 1 course
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:
AND
Complete 5 courses. Credit allowed for only one course in each pair: MATH 313 or MATV 313, MATH 323 or MATV 323, MATH 355 or MATV 355. MATV courses are only available to UA South students.
Complete at least 5 of the following Courses:
An emphasis is required for this major. Please consult with your advisor.

Select one of the following emphases: Applied, Comprehensive, Computer Science, Probability and Statistics, Economics Business, Life Sciences, or Education.  Additional requirements for the major appear once you have officially selected an emphasis.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Mathematics Supporting Computer Science, Math Major Core Requirements, and selects an emphasis. All emphases require a minimum of 15 units of 400-level coursework in the major.

Equivalent MATV courses may be available through UA South.  For approved courses consult with your advisor.
Complete 1 course.
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:
Complete 1 course. Students should plan to take MATH 485 in their final Spring semester; MATH 422 should be taken earlier, when possible.

Complete MATH 475A and one course from the list below.

Complete MATH 475A and one course from MATH 412, 413, 424, 443, 445, 447, 454, 456, 464, 475B, 481, 485
Complete at least 1 of the following Courses:
Will appear fully satisfied when the additional advisor-approved course and 15 units of 400-level coursework are satisfied.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete one 400-level MATH course in consultation with your math faculty advisor.  You may choose from the pre-approved list.  If you prefer to select another course, you may do so ONLY if approved by your math faculty advisor.
Earn at least 3 credits from the following:
AND
A minimum of 15 units of 400-level upper-division major coursework must be completed.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Mid Career Writing Assessment, Major GPA, Residency requirement, and Major Upper Division unit requirement.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 34 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
AND
A minimum of 18 units of upper-division major coursework must be completed.
A minor outside of the Mathematics Department is required for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Applied Emphasis course requirements, Graduation Requirements, and declares a minor.

Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Comprehensive Required Courses and either the sequence in Abstract Algebra or Differential Equations.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:

Complete MATH 415A and MATH 415B
Complete at least 2 of the following Courses:

Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Mid Career Writing Assessment, Major GPA, Residency requirement, and Major Upper Division unit requirement.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 37 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
AND
A minimum of 21 units of upper-division major coursework must be completed for the Comprehensive emphasis
A minor outside of the Mathematics Department is required for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Comprehensive Emphasis courses, Comprehensive Emphasis Graduation Requirements, and declares a minor.

Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Option 1, 2, OR 3.
Complete at least 1 of the following :

Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies one advanced linear algebra course, and two of the electives.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete one 400-level Linear Algebra course.
Earn at least 3 credits from the following:
AND
Complete two additional 400-level MATH courses from the list, for a total of five distinct courses in the emphasis.
Earn at least 6 credits from the following:
AND
A minimum of 15 units of 400-level upper-division major coursework must be completed.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Mid Career Writing Assessment, Major GPA, Residency requirement, and Major Upper Division unit requirement.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 34 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the major must be taken at the University of Arizona.

A minimum of 18 units of upper-division major coursework must be completed.

You must complete 1 of the following:
Computer Science Minor
Computer Science Major
Computer Science Major (Secondary)
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies Computer Science Emphasis course requirements, Graduation Requirements, and declares a minor in Computer Science.

Equivalent MATV courses may be available through UA South.  For approved courses consult with your advisor.
Will appear fully satisfied when student satisfies the two required Economics/Business emphasis courses, two of the electives, and one advisor approved course.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 2 courses
Complete at least 2 of the following Courses:

Complete 2 courses. Credit allowed for only one course in each pair: MATH 412 or DATA 412, MATH 462 or DATA 462, MATH 468 or DATA 468.
Complete at least 2 of the following Courses:

Will appear completely satisfied when student has satisfied Mid Career Writing Assessment, minimum Major GPA, Major Residency, and a minimum number of units of Major Upper Division course work.
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 72 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the pre-major, supporting coursework, professional core, and/or major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
AND
The Education emphasis requires 53 units of upper-division major coursework.
A minor is optional for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
