The M.S. program in Medical Pharmacology examines all aspects of the action of drugs and other chemicals on living systems. The scope of pharmacology is broad, ranging from the study of intermolecular reactions of chemical constituents of cells with drugs to the effects of chemicals in our environment on human populations. You will achieve a solid knowledge base and training in scientific investigation - in fact, in your first year, you will get hands-on research experience in laboratories of your choice - and course electives can be tailored to interests in other disciplines, like cancer biology, medicinal chemistry, neuroscience and more.
