Program Description
When you pursue a Ph.D. in Medical Pharmacology, you join a department of faculty, staff and fellow students working in concert to understand how chemicals influence human disease. To that end, you will build a research-oriented program of study around a focus of your choice: cardiovascular pharmacology; clinical pharmacology; immunopharmacology; molecular and biochemical pharmacology; neuroscience and pain; or toxicology. Upon graduation, students earn highly competitive postgraduate positions in universities, industry or government agencies, with alumni being represented in research directorships at renowned pharmaceutical companies, professorships in academic institutions and top positions in medicine, law and pharmacy.
