Program Description
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Nutritional Sciences allows you to earn a graduate degree in nutritional sciences while pursuing interdisciplinary opportunities in basic, clinical, epidemiological or translational research. You will complete 33 units of coursework and work with a faculty advisor to guide and support your thesis research. You will graduate with valuable skills you can apply in such work environments as academia, government, industry, nonprofits and research enterprises, among others. Students typically complete the M.S. in two years. This program does not lead to the registered dietitian nutritionist credential. It can be a pathway to Ph.D. studies.
