Program Description
The Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences allows you to earn a graduate degree in nutritional sciences while pursuing interdisciplinary opportunities in basic, clinical, epidemiological or translational research. You will complete 63 units of coursework and work with a faculty advisor to guide and support your dissertation research. Upon graduation, you will have valuable skills you can apply in such work environments as academia (including post-doc), government, industry, nonprofits and research enterprises, among others. Students typically complete the Ph.D. in five years. This program does not lead to the registered dietitian nutritionist credential.
