Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107
- Writing 102 instead of Writing 108

Complete 1 course. Please review your major requirements or consult your advisor before enrolling in a Foundations Mathematics course.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:

Credit will not be given for a course at an equivalent or lower level than prior language credit earned.
Course must be taken for a grade, not for pass/fail.
Demonstrate fourth semester proficiency in a second language by completing one of the following:
1. Complete a Fourth Semester Language Course with a grade of C or higher.
2. Complete Arabic 401 and 1 course with a grade of C of higher from Arabic 424B, 427B or 430B.
3. Pass a language proficiency examination at the fourth semester level
Complete at least 1 of the following :
Complete 1 course with a grade of C or better.

Courses used to fulfill this requirement may also be used to fulfill other requirements.

Philosophy Core Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:

An Emphasis is required for this major. Please consult with the Philosophy academic advisor to select one of the following emphases: General Emphasis OR Ethics Emphasis.
Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy Core - Complete four courses. An Emphasis is also required for this major. Please consult with the Philosophy academic advisor to declare either the General emphasis or the Ethics emphasis.
The following requirements must be fulfilled for the Philosophy major: At least 18 of the 33 units of major coursework required to complete the major must be upper-division coursework. Consult with your academic advisor to ensure you have completed at least 18 units of Philosophy coursework at 300-level and above.

Only one attempt of each of the following courses may apply to the major: PHIL 346, PHIL 412, PHIL 470, PHIL 472A, and PHIL 472B.

No more than 6 units of PHIL 199, 299, 299H, 399, 399H, 491, 491H, 493L, 499, 499H coursework). Contact the Philosophy Academic Advisor if you have PHIL 1TR or PHIL 3TR transfer credit.
Earn at least 6 credits from the following:
Ethics Emphasis Major Graduation Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 33 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 33 units must be completed in the major, with at least 18 units of upper-division Philosophy coursework numbered 300 and above.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
A minor is required for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major or degree based on departmental approval.
Emphasis in Ethics
The following requirements must be fulfilled for the Philosophy major: At least 18 of the
33 units of Philosophy coursework required to complete the major must be upper-division coursework. Consult with your academic advisor to ensure you have completed at least 18 units of Philosophy coursework at 300-level and above.
