Overview

Program Requirements

Paramedicine Undergraduate Certificate Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 26 units
Earn at least 26 credits from the following:
AND
Complete 12 units of Internship with the national paramedics curriculum requirements (EMD 381, EMD 480, EMD 481).
Earn at least 12 credits from the following:
AND
Complete 4 units of capstone.
Earn at least 4 credits from the following:
Paramedicine Undergraduate Certificate Completion Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 42 units are required in the certificate.
AND
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the certificate coursework.
AND
A minimum of 42 units in the certificate must be taken at the University of Arizona.
AND
A minimum of 34 upper division units are required in the certificate.
Paramedicine Undergraduate Certificate

A 2.0 GPA, current EMT certification, and completion of PSIO 201 and PSIO 202 with a minimum of C grades is required to enter the Certificate Program. The department will consider a combination of science coursework if PSIO 380 is already taken or science credit earned elsewhere. All certifcate courses must be taken in sequence once started.

Certificate Program Application can be found on the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services website. This program is designed for currently enrolled UA Main campus students.
