All application materials must be submitted prior to the deadline. Notification is by UA email only. Late applications will not be considered.

A. Students must be declared in the PPEL major in order to receive application materials. To declare the PPEL major, contact the PPEL Academic Advisor before the Spring Semester in which you intend to apply for Advanced Standing.
B. Submit the following materials to the Director of the PPEL Program by the deadlines provided by email:
1. The PPEL Advanced Standing Application Form. The purpose of the form is to determine the strength of the student's educational profile as an indicator of success in upper-division PPEL Core Courses and PPEL Concentration Courses.
2. The PPEL Advanced Standing Writing Assignment. The Writing Assignment demonstrates the student's proficiency in the requisite skills for succeeding in PPEL Core Courses and PPEL Concentration Courses.
3. The PPEL Advanced Standing Personal Statement. This Statement describes the student's commitment to the PPEL Program.
Students who demonstrate sufficient strength and proficiency will accepted into Advanced Standing by permission of the Director of the PPEL Program.
