Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107
- Writing 102 instead of Writing 108
Complete at least 1 of the following :

Complete 1 course. Please review your major requirements or consult your advisor before enrolling in a Foundations Mathematics course.
Earn at least 2.67 credits from the following:

Credit will not be given for a course at an equivalent or lower level than prior language credit earned. Course must be taken for a grade, not as pass/fail. Third semester or higher courses used to fulfill this requirement may also be used to fulfill other requirements. Students should complete PHYS 102 & PHYS 181 or PHYS 103 & PHYS 182 or PHYS 141 or PHYS 142 or PHYS 241.
Earn at least 4 credits from the following:

Complete 4 units of additional lecture and lab from chemistry, biology, or physics.
Earn at least 4 credits from the following:

Complete 6 units (2 of the following)

Complete 1 unit of capstone

Students must take at least 4 courses in ONE of the following areas:
- Psychology or
- Earth Systems and Sustainability or
- Genetics, Cell, and Molecular Biology or
- Ecology, Evolution, and Animal Behavior or
- Biochemistry or
- Neuroscience or
- Cognitive Science

AND 4 additional courses (SCI Major Electives) from any of those listed below in the final requirement under Remaining Upper Division Electives.

Writing Emphasis Course can be met through ECOL 437, ECOL 487R, ECOL 488, MCB 404, MCB 422, or PSY 340, or other advisor approved Writing Emphasis Course

Science BS Major Graduation Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 50 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 25 units of upper-division major coursework must be completed.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the pre-major, supporting coursework, professional core, and/or major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
A minor is optional for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
