Enhance the human-computer connection - from smart systems for transportation to human behavior modeling - at the country's first academic department of systems engineering. This interdisciplinary program offers flexibility and customization with an emphasis on high-profile research in several areas: data analytics, informatics and machine learning; energy, water, environment and sustainability; health care systems; human factors and sociotechnical systems; optimization; smart transportation and manufacturing logistics; and space, defense and security. Research collaborations for new developments in transportation include partnerships with the Arizona Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, National Center for Border Security and Immigration, and the Air Force Research Laboratory.
