Overview

Program Requirements

Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
The course sequence required is determined by the Foundations Writing Evaluation (link).

Two course sequence:
1. Writing 101 or 101A or 107
2. Writing 102 or 108

One course sequence:
1. Writing 109H* or Writing 305
* A grade of C or higher is required in Writing 109H to satisfy the requirement with this course.

Three course sequence:
1. Writing 106
2. Writing 107**
3. Writing 108**
**Upon recommendation of the Writing Program students who complete Writing 106 may take:
- Writing 101 or 101A instead of Writing 107
- Writing 102 instead of Writing 108
Complete at least 1 of the following :
Complete 2 courses.

Sustainable Plant Systems Major - Agronomy and Horticulture Emphasis
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 6 units. The Agronomy Core 1 needs ENVS 401. Main Core 9. Soil Ecology of Sustainable Systems must be satisfied with a different course (i.e. ENVS 410 or 431).
Earn at least 6 credits from the following:

A minimum of 67 units must be completed in the major.

A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required in the major coursework.

A minimum of 54 units of upper division coursework must be completed.

A minimum of 18 units in the pre-major, supporting coursework, professional core, and/or major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
A minor is optional for this major. Consult with your advisor to select a minor or discuss other options such as selecting a second major.
BS in Sustainable Plant Systems - Agronomy and Horticulture Emphasis
Sustainable Plant Systems Major - Controlled Environment Agriculture Emphasis
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
Complete 30 units. Once the 3 units of Experiential/Applied course work required under Career Preparation are satisfied, students may choose to complete and apply to the CEAG Core up to 3 more units of Experiential/Applied from the following courses: BE 391, 393, 397A, 399, 399H, 492, 493, 497C, 499, 499H.
Earn at least 30 credits from the following:
Controlled Environment Agriculture Emphasis Major Graduation Requirements
Fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
A minimum of 67 units must be completed in the major.
AND
A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required in the major coursework.
AND
A minimum of 46 units of upper division coursework must be completed.
AND
A minimum of 18 units in the pre-major, supporting coursework, professional core, and/or major must be taken at the University of Arizona.
