Program Description
Built for current and future professionals teaching English as a second language and for those involved in applied linguistics, this master's program offers a balanced emphasis on theory, research and practice. This means that you gain advanced knowledge in the theory and practices of teaching, learning and language; the contexts of teaching and learning; and professional and practical experience. Thanks to the program's small size - annual cohorts never exceed 12 people - you will enjoy one-on-one instruction from professors who are leading experts in fields such as socio-cognitive approaches to second language acquisition, second language writing, classroom discourse analysis and technology-enhanced language teaching.
