Students must complete a minimum of six (6) units of core coursework and a minimum of three (3) elective units. The final three (3) units of required coursework may be taken from either the core or elective courselists.
Core courses: select a minimum of 2 of the following courses (6 units). All courses listed here are worth three (3) units.
ENGL 589 - Internet Technologies in Second/Foreign Language Education;
FREN 581 - Technology and Foreign Language Learning;
TLS 530 - Literacy Technology;
TLS 645 - Research Methods and Technologies
Limited substitions are allowed. Students must meet with the SLAT Graduate Advisor to approve course selections and any substitutions.

For students who are completing the Technology in Second Language Teaching Certificate in conjunction with the Technology in Second Language Teaching PhD Minor, the student must complete a twenty-page written comprehensive exam and pass the oral comprehensive exam to complete the requirements for the Ph.D. minor.
