Students accepted into the Applied Nutrition - Dietetics emphasis must complete the following courses to earn the degree:

course: Preparing for Professional Dietetics Practice I (1)

All courses will be fully distributed through online course tool platforms and technology. Professional Experiential Learning in Dietetics coursework requires onsite supervised experiential learning in clinical nutrition, community nutrition and foodservice management facilities.

Emphasis Core Coursework Requirements
Students accepted to the Nutrition and Wellness emphasis of the Professional Science Master’s degree in Applied Nutrition program must complete the following coursework for the master’s degree. Newly admitted students are also required to attend a program orientation prior to their first term/semester of coursework.
course: Nutrition and Disease (3) - Students with a current RDN credential may replace this course with course: Advanced Clinical Nutrition (3)
Capstone Courses: 7 units
*Students work with a partnering organization to complete approximately 270 hours (45 hours per unit) of hands-on experience that serves as their graduate capstone project.
